Grabio uses what Apple already built into your iPhone - the Shortcuts app , instead of asking you to install yet another app. That's why it's faster, smaller, and more private than every alternative.
Add it once. Long-press any social link or pick a file from your camera roll, tap Share → Grabio. Done.
Fair question. Most people convert files using online converter websites - full of ads, captchas, and copy-paste pain. Here's why a Shortcut makes those feel ancient, without you needing to learn anything new.
≈ 12 taps · 45-90 seconds · 4 ad networks tracking you
≈ 3 taps · 8-12 seconds · zero tracking
Every iPhone since iOS 13 has the Shortcuts app pre-installed (the dark icon with two arrows). It's Apple's official scripting framework - same thing Siri uses behind the scenes.
Tap our install link → iOS pops "Add Shortcut?" → tap Add. That's it. No App Store review, no 100 MB download, no permissions to manage.
Open any app - Instagram, Safari, WhatsApp, Photos. Tap Share. Scroll the bottom row. Grabio is right there next to Copy and AirDrop. You never leave the app you're in.
When new platforms or features ship, the Shortcut tells you and links the update. No App Store wait, no manual reinstall, no broken old version sitting on your phone.
Grabio uses what Apple already built into your iPhone — not a separate app to install.
That's why it's faster, smaller, and more private than every alternative.
No tutorial. No setup. No permissions screen. You'll be downloading your first video in under 30 seconds.
Tap the button above on iPhone Safari. Apple installs the shortcut for you.
Long-press any social-media link or pick a file from your camera roll. Tap Share → Grabio.
Download, compress, ringtone, convert. Grabio shows the right options. Done in seconds.
A real recording, no fast-forward. This is exactly what you'll do every day.
Tap a tab to see what's covered.
HEIC → JPEG, shrink for WhatsApp/email, strip GPS location data, AI background removal. All in one tap.
Most "PDF on iPhone" stuff means opening a separate app, exporting, uploading, downloading. Annoying. Grabio's PDF tab will live in the same share sheet you already use.
Pick photos from Camera Roll, get one clean PDF. Auto-orient, US-Letter or A4.
Multiple images, multiple existing PDFs → one merged file. No 5MB upload limits.
Email-friendly under 10MB without losing readability. Done locally on the server.
Remove view-only locks (where legally allowed). Pull out individual pages.

Same shortcut, completely different workflows. Pick yours.
"I run 6 brand accounts. I save Reels for swipe files all day."
"I need clean MP3s from my own videos for the podcast feed."
"WhatsApp won't accept this 50 MB rough cut. Again."
"I want lecture audio for the gym, not the whole video."
"My UGC pile lives in WhatsApp. I need it as MP4."
"I want one button that just figures out what I want."
No more juggling a downloader app, a converter, a HEIC fixer, and a separate ringtone maker.

Most tools work. The problem is what they make you do around the work.
Add it once. Forget it exists. It just works every time you share something.
Free downloaders die in 6 months because ads pay badly and data resale is creepy. Grabio runs on $3 a month from people who use it every day. That's the whole business model. Below is exactly where every rupee goes.
Tap on iPhone — iOS shows "Add Shortcut?" and you're done. No login, no card, no App Store.

Tell me your use case and volume. I'll come back with a number that works.
YouTube changes how their videos are served roughly every 2–3 weeks to block downloaders. Keeping that working - especially at 720p/1080p - is the single biggest engineering cost behind Grabio. Every YouTube download costs me about 15× more than an Instagram one. That's the real number, not a markup.
FFmpeg burns CPU. A 4K video → WhatsApp-friendly 16MB compress eats roughly 30 seconds of one server core. Multiply by everyone using it that minute and you need beefier servers. $3/mo from a few people pays for the whole box.
I could've made Grabio "free forever" with banner ads or by selling your usage to ad networks. I refuse to. Your share-sheet should not become a billboard. Pro at $3 is the fair-trade alternative to that nonsense.
Server costs, YouTube unblocking infrastructure, adding new platforms, keeping the iOS Shortcut working as Apple ships updates. Every cent goes back into the product. No marketing budget, no team to feed, no investor returns to chase.
Most "free" downloaders make money by reselling your activity to data brokers you've never heard of. Grabio is built so even I, the developer, couldn't see what you downloaded if I tried. That's not a marketing line. It's how the system is wired.
No accounts. No emails. No analytics SDKs. No third-party trackers. That Reddit thread you saved at 2 a.m. stays between you and your phone.
Links live in memory only.
Used to stop abuse only.
One-way, irreversible.
Add. Use. That's it.
No URLs, no files — just a number. Auto-deleted in 30 days.
Janitor sweeps the disk.
Honest answer: no. Not because I'm a saint - because there literally isn't anything to sell. I never see your URL, your IP, your phone number, your email, your name, or your file. The server's database is a row of integers ("device-hash-abc downloaded 3 things today"). There's no product to package and resell.
The day I'd want to do that, I'd first have to break my own architecture. That's a lot of effort just to make a few rupees from an ad network. The $3/mo subscriber funds the whole thing instead.
They'd find a Redis database with rows like grabio:usage:<hash>:2026-05-03 = 4. That's the entire heist. No emails to phish, no passwords to crack, no addresses to dox. The worst-case data breach for Grabio is genuinely boring - and that's by design, not by accident.
Yes. Open Charles Proxy or any HTTPS inspector on your iPhone, fire the Shortcut, and watch every byte that leaves. You'll see: a SHA-256 hash of your device name, the URL or file you're processing (so we can fetch or convert it), and that's it. No silent telemetry, no "anonymous analytics", no third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.
Real things real people ask before they hit Install.
Files save to Photos or Files where you control them. Grabio doesn't keep anything itself. A 720p WhatsApp video is usually ~15 MB.
Free, no card, no upsell. There's a 5/day cap on social downloads (those fetches cost us money) and a fair daily cap on conversions too. No ads, ever.
Yes. The shortcut is intentionally thin. All heavy logic lives on our server. iOS updates can't touch our backend, so your shortcut keeps working.
Grabio downloads only what you can already access in a browser. For your own content (or anything publicly shared), you're good. Don't redistribute someone else's content commercially.
Because you don't need one. The Apple Shortcut + our backend is the whole product. No App Store, no permissions screen, no SDK to spy on you.
Works fine. Files are typically small. A YouTube video at 240p is ~5 MB; a 30-second TikTok is ~3 MB. Most downloads finish before you notice.
Only public content. Private accounts, friends-only stories, and login-walled posts won't work. By design.
Pinterest, Reddit, Vimeo, Threads are next on the list. Email [email protected] with what you need. Frequent requests jump the queue.
